These Terms of Service govern your use of the Jet City Journey website and the travel services we provide. By accessing our website or booking any of our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Definitions

  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Jet City Journey, a tour operator based in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • "You", "Your", "Client" refers to the person making a booking or inquiry.
  • "Service Provider" refers to third-party hotels, lodges, transport companies, airlines, park authorities, and other suppliers.

2. Bookings & Reservations

All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. A booking is only confirmed once:

  • You have submitted a complete inquiry form or booking request
  • We have confirmed availability with our service providers
  • A deposit or full payment has been received (as specified in your booking confirmation)

Prices quoted are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated and are valid at the time of quotation. We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of currency fluctuations, park fee increases, or government tax changes.

3. Payments

A non-refundable deposit is typically required to secure your booking:

  • Safari tours: 30% deposit at time of booking; balance due 45 days before departure
  • Accommodation only: 25% deposit; balance due 30 days before check-in
  • Transport only: Full payment required at time of booking
  • Visa processing: Full payment required before application submission

Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, mobile money (M-Pesa), and credit card (where available). All bank charges are the responsibility of the client.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. Refunds are calculated based on the date we receive your cancellation notice:

  • More than 60 days before departure: Full refund minus deposit and any non-refundable supplier charges
  • 45 - 60 days before departure: 75% refund minus deposit and supplier charges
  • 30 - 44 days before departure: 50% refund minus deposit and supplier charges
  • 15 - 29 days before departure: 25% refund minus deposit and supplier charges
  • Less than 15 days before departure: No refund

No-show: If you fail to arrive for your tour or accommodation without prior notice, no refund will be provided.

Postponement: You may request to postpone your trip to a later date, subject to availability and any supplier-imposed fees. Postponement requests must be made at least 30 days before the original departure date.

5. Force Majeure

Jet City Journey shall not be held liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or environmental conditions
  • Political unrest, civil disturbances, war, or terrorism
  • Pandemics, epidemics, or government-imposed travel restrictions
  • Strikes, labor disputes, or industrial action
  • Accidents, mechanical breakdowns, or supplier failures

In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative arrangements or reschedule your trip. Refunds will be subject to the recovery of funds from our service providers.

6. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Baggage loss, theft, or damage
  • Personal accident and liability

Jet City Journey is not responsible for any costs arising from events that would have been covered by travel insurance.

7. Liability & Disclaimers

Jet City Journey acts as an agent for third-party service providers. While we take reasonable care in selecting our partners, we are not liable for:

  • Acts, omissions, or negligence of service providers
  • Personal injury, illness, or death during your trip
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Delays, cancellations, or changes to itineraries beyond our control

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

8. Health & Safety

Clients are responsible for ensuring they:

  • Hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity and sufficient blank pages
  • Obtain all required visas, vaccinations, and health clearments
  • Disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate in activities
  • Follow the safety instructions of guides, drivers, and lodge staff at all times

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Jet City Journey and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
